I felt like posting because I haven't really talked about me for a long time...probably because I'm so flippin' busy these days. I guess working 2 jobs and taking 14 credit hours in a semester is stressful/busy? Who knew? Ha ha...but for real, I didn't realize how stressed out I'd be. So, update...I am writing a lot lately. Jason and Kyla's story is coming along quite nicely. I am finally working on the middle of the story! HOORAY! I have the beginning and the ending down on paper and just need to add them to the manuscript I have on my computer. The ending hit me like a brick wall a while back and I had to write it down...it is so fabulous!
I was writing before class today and I always have my ipod on when I'm writing...it tunes out all the annoying people around me so I don't know they are there and get distracted. Any way, this guy came and sat down in the row in front of me and turned around to talk to me (I'm like mid sentence in my writing) and he pauses my ipod and then picks it up. I took out my headphones and he starts flipping through my playlists. The one I listen to when writing is titled "Inspiration" because it gets me in the right mood to write and really get into the story. Any way...I happened to be listening to a song from HSM 3 when he paused it...that was awkward... I don't generally admit to people outside of the family and close friends that read this blog that I am a HSM fan. It seems odd to be a 20 something girl that is totally single liking HSM...yeah, any way...so this guy is flipping through my playlists asking why they are called what they are called and what all the acronyms are (I have like 10 playlists that all have acronyms for titles...because its just to long to have the actual title on there!) and then he asked if I was a writer...hmmm...what gave him that idea? it was weird. Oh, and I knew him from my mission, he was one of the elders in my mission. It was a really weird experience and then class started and I got my ipod back. Did any of that make any sense?
Any way, Jason and Kyla are about to get together the first time in the story and I am totally loving it. Oh, also, I finally have a title for the story. Its going to be called Changing Tyde. Ha ha ha, its absolutely PERFECT!!! I love it!!!
A brilliant up and coming writer that gets lost on Pinterest far too easily and knows her way around a kitchen.

Its begining to sound a lot like springtime!
So, its been feeling and looking a lot like spring, and its almost like my ipod knows my spring time music. Its weird, but there are certain artists, albums, and songs I listen to at certain times of the year. Generally around the time I first heard them, or first bought them. For example, I always listen to Good Charlotte's album, "Chronicles of Life and Death"
around September-October ish time...I think its because that's when I bought the CD, and that's when I first heard their single of that album. But every year around that time I get in the mood to listen to it again...another example: Right now I am listening to Daughtery, Sarah Barallise,
Maroon 5's "It Won't Be Soon Before Long", and the song "Little Wonders" by Rob Thomas, which totally makes sense because those were the first songs I got off itunes when I got my ipod a year ago. Crazy, I know, but I'm starting to get in the mood for my springtime music which means spring must just about be here...thank goodness!

Check it out!
So, my birthday ROCKED and now the celebrating is officially over and I am now....24....scary thought. Any way, one of my friends gave me this movie that is kinda HSM-ish, and since we all know that I like HSM, I liked this movie too...here's a clip from it, its called Another Cinderella Story:
The main guy that is teaching how to dance may sound familiar if you are a die hard HSM fan...(yeah B, I'm talking about you) he did the singing for Zac Efron in High School Musical, and wrote Gettcha Head In The Game. Yeah, he's the main guy in this movie and I really liked it until I was seeing what else the actors were on and found out that Selena Gomez (the main girl) was 15 when they filmed it, and Drew Seeley (the main guy) was 25, and they kiss in the movie and now its just really weird to watch that movie. Sad day! But, its still a cute movie. Thought I'd share that with everyone! I will post more later, but I have to run to work right now!!!

LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN!!!!
So, ever since I was like 19 I've always had fun celebrating my birthday. In past years we have done tons of great things that I have LOVED doing! We went to a really good comedy club in Provo one year, we've done scavenger hunts in Walmart, or around Logan, etc. etc. We even went to a Josh Groban concert once (although, we would have gone had it been my birthday or not...it just happened to be on my birthday!) But, as the years went on, the celebrations got longer. When I turned 21 we pretty much celebrated for an entire week.
Well, my 24th birthday is this Friday and I can already tell that this years celebration will be as big as the others! On the misison we couldn't really celebrate for a whole week, but the actual day of my birthday was pretty awesome both times. The members really made it great. Last year my cake was made entirely with food storage because the members we lived with were on a food storage challenge and couldn't use anything else. It was surprisingly delicious!
Any way, this year I am going to Logan and having a party with Kris, my best friend who is practically my brother. We often introduce each other as such, too. And oddly, people believe us though we look absolutely nothing alike. Kinda strange. But his birthday is the day before mine, so we are going to party in Logan the day after my birthday and have tons of fun with all our friends! On my actual birthday I am doing something with my family - not really sure what yet, but family, I will keep you posted!
And then, on the 13th of February a week after my birthday, all of my Utah county friends are getting together for dinner and possibly games/movie night...just like old times. Man, I am SO excited! Except it won't be just like old times because 80 percent of my friends are married now and it just isn't the same...nor will it ever be (which isn't a bad thing, its just different and kinda new for me). So, hopefully this birthday will rock just as much as those in years past!!

Movie Weekend
So, earlier this week I was watching a movie with my oldest brother and his wife. It was one that looked interesting and made by the same production company that did Ultimate Gift, which is one of my favorites, but I have to say I was sorely dissapointed. Even though it was filmed and took place in my beautiful North Carolina, there was just too much weirdness going on. It was just SUPER weird and I honestly don't think I would recommend it, even though it did have Peyton from OTH in it...So, then, on Friday I had promised my friend Lisa I'd go to a movie with her. There wasn't a whole lot that was playing that I wanted to see, or that I hadn't promised Fort we'd go see together. So, we decided to go see the movie Australia...
its like 3 hours long, and I wasn't
sure if I was going to like it because its by Baz Luhrman who brought us such movies as:Moulin Rouge which was like one of my most all time favorite movies before my mission. I loved loved loved this movie, despite its depressing ending....

He also made the movie Romeo + Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, which I saw like FOREVER ago, but just looking at the title tells me that its going to have a depressing ending with the main characters dying! (Are you catching my point about Baz Luhrman movies?)

So, I'm watching Australia and its got Nicole Kidman in it
, as well as Hugh Jackman
and its pretty good, I'm about and hour and a half into it and it hits me that this is in fact a Baz Luhrman film, and that if my memory serves me well, I would know that the two other movies he's made that I can think of ended very very sad and depressing and I start freaking out because I don't want this movie to end sad too...I was seriously going to be terribly upset if this movie ended wrong too. Yeah, up to the last scene I wouldn't allow myself to believe it was going to end happy...but it did and although it was really long, it was pretty good too. I would probably recommend it...depends on your movie tastes. I liked it better than Moulin Rouge and that is actually quite a lot.Oh, and a PS for those who asked me about Burn Notice: Its on the USA network on Thursday nights at 10/9C...check it out!!

So. my brother (we call him Phat Boy) told me I should check out this show called Burn Notice...yeah, I'm so hooked...its so my new favorite! When I saw it, I recognized the main character, but was too lazy at the time to go figure out where I'd seen him before...gues
s what movie he's on!?!?!?!?!Ha ha ha...he's the jerk guy on Hitch! I so didn't figure that out for the longest time...any way, I totally LOVE the show and think its awesome! You should check it out!

Desicion, Desicion
So, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Logan. And it was way fun and rather uneventful going up this weekend,...Any way, I had the best time up there when I lived there, and really didn't want to move back, but I see why I needed to. Well, post mission I have been praying about going back and got the "Not now" answer and I accepted it and moved on realizing I might never get to live in Logan again. It was hard at first, but I was okay with it. I just asked once and felt good about staying here...other than the whole lack of social life...any way. I was fine with it until Jen got engaged and I was just super lonely. It totally stunk (and still does) I love my friends, but they are all moving ahead and I feel like I'm getting left behind. So, around the time Jen got married I was thinking about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and I decided to pray about Logan again and see if maybe now it was time to move back up there. For the first time since I'd moved back I felt like it was a good idea and started to make preparations do move up there this summer. I was so happy about it and couldn't wait to finally be moving forward with my life. And then I got a huge wrench thrown in my plans when I got laid off making it seemingly impossible. Now that I have my two jobs and kinda feel like I'm getting back on my feet Logan seems like it might be a possibility again, but I'm not quite sure. So, what do you guys think? Should I move to Logan, or Orem. Either way, I am moving north this coming fall and need to start getting things in order, so I'm wondering what you think. But, I'll be honest, the ultimate decision will be made when I go to the temple and talk to Heavenly Father about it...but your opinion is VERY valuable to me! THANKS!!!
