Girly Post!

I've been on this total Gilmore Girls kick lately and have watched probably half of the sixth season and am a little excited to watch the seventh as I didn't get to watch it when it aired as I was on a mission. But, every time I watch it, I feel like talking really really fast about crazy things and make them sound like they are supposed to make sense.
I think I might have a job. I'm hoping. Please pray for me as well. I got a temp job through SOS and they have mentioned that they would like to hire me on if I was looking for a full time job. Not bad either, they'd start me off pretty well pay wise, and it's Mon-Fri 8-5...I really can't complain. Any way, I am really hoping and praying that I get it.
Oh, I stole this idea from Nat's post:

You Are...Elizabeth Bennet!

Elizabeth Bennet!

You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.

All possible results: Elinor Dashwood, Marianne Dashwood, Elizabeth Bennet, Fanny Price, Emma Woodhouse, Catherine Morland, Anne Elliot

Happy Easter!!

So, I went over to my sister's house today with my parents and my neice and nephew wanted to play Wii bowling, so me, Melanie, Jonathan, and Grandma went down to go bowling, which we did and it was a lot of fun. We also played a cow racing game which was a lot of fun to watch my mom play because I don't think I've ever seen my mom play a video game before in my life, but there she was playing! It was quite a sight.
Last night was the night of dissapointing movie endings. I first watched August Rush which was interesting and pretty good, but there was absolutely NO CLOSURE in the ending!! I was so upset. I did not like that at all! And then I watched Spiderman 3 which was also quite dissapointing, especially the ending to that one. Just end the story in a happy way, please! But, I guess I can't control these things.

when I grow up...

So, ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be one of three things: A writer, a teacher, or a dancer (probably of the ballerina type although I don't really remember). However, none of these professions really offer you any sort of substantial income, and I really can't dance...especially since I have the build of a football player. So, I am left to the same question when thinking about what I should do for college...what do I want to be when I "grow up"?? I've seriously considered photography, but there is also a lot of things that might prevent me from that, so at this point I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. You don't really need a degree to write, or to really take pictures either, so I know I need to go back to school, I just don't know what to go back for...any suggestions??

The Singles Ward

I have officially joined the singles ward. I don't know exactly how I feel about that. A guy that is a returned missionary seems a lot younger now then it did before I served a mission...that could be the difference I guess.
But yeah, they all wanted to me come to ward "stare"...I mean prayer, but fortunately for me I already had plans. Singles wards are such interesting things. While I was gone they split the singles ward so now there is 2 of them and someone was talking to me about how great it is, and I said "Really, thinking about it, isn't that a bad thing? Because the purpose of a singles ward is to get people married off, so if you have so many singles that you have to split the ward and make 2 isn't actually a good thing...is it..."
I don't know...I guess we'll see what happens. Who knows, maybe I will meet my future husband there or something...

Crazy day

So, my day started bright and early at about 6:45 AM which for many of you isn't so early, I realize, but it's early for me these days. So, I had 2 interviews and I had tos top by the health department (YAY, I DON'T have TB!!!) and then home for lunch and a visit with mom. Then, I had dinner with Jim and Jennifer and then had to run home to catch a ride with Craig to go do something and then Kris came too. It was a lot of fun. We went and saw "The Spiderwick Chronicles" which was pretty good. Kinda crazy, but it was fun going with the guys and since it was only the three of us that were in the theater we could be as loud as we wanted to be because no one was there to shush us! YAY!! So much fun!
So, after the movie we went and hung out and me and Kris ended up talking for about an hour and a half which was so good. We always had really good chats before the missions and it was nice to have one again. He really is my twin brother. Its great.

Weekend Fun

So, the weekend has been full of adventure and fun. I'm sure if you go to Nat or Pete's blog you will see pictures and since I have dirt slow dial up, I will rely on them to bring you wonderful pictures of the family. It was a lot of fun besides the stress of actually getting 30 people to look at the camera at the same time. I think my favorite picture is when my brother B decided that we should have "spirit fingers" in one of the pictures and gave an example, but unfortunately the photographer took the picture just as he did it and captured a truly priceless photo.
It was great to see all my friends on Sunday, especially my friend Fort (her real name is Katie, but I don't call her that) and Kris (who I hadn't seen in about 2 1/2 years). It was so great. A lot of my other friends were there and all my family was there...a truly great weekend!

Movies- post mission

So, I was really very scared to go back to the movie theater since I had not been to one in about a year and a half, but fortunately for me I went and saw the movie Enchanted with my best friend, Jen and it was such a good movie. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
I also watched Pirates of the Carribean 3 which I will be honest I was a little disappointed at the ending. Also, it was a little bit more violent than I was hoping for and apparently my mission has turned me into a softie and things such as violence aren't as easy to ignore. My brother Richard tells me that I just need to give it some time and I will one day be normal again. I think he is right, it is just hard to see that right now.

Menace to Society

I'm sitting here talking to Dad who thinks blogs are lame and that if you want to send an e-mail, then send an e-mail...he makes me laugh a lot of the time.
So, I went to FHE with Jen tonight and talked to all the fun people in her singles ward...oh, speaking of singles wards, I pretty much got kicked out of my family ward yesterday. The bishop came up to me and said "I really think you should go to the singles ward. You can stay if you want to, but I would strongly encourage you to go there" so, I guess they don't want me there anymore. Gosh, I'm not even home a week and people are already kicking me out of wards and expecting me to go out and get married. Oh yay. I'm so excited. I guess I must finally be hitting the age that if I'm not married I become a menace to society. I always wondered what that felt like.

Welcome Back

I've been home for a few days now and I still keep thinking that I am going to wake up in Wake Forest, NC again, but I won't. It's the craziest feeling in the world. I know that I can do whatever I want (within reason) but I still want to follow the rules I used to have with exactness...it is so weird not to have them anymore.
But, I love being home and I can't believe it's here already!
